Velké Losiny Spa and Úsov

This spa ranks among the oldest spas in Moravia. The natural sulphuric thermal water is the main healing resource. The hot mineral spring Žerotín (36,2 C at the surface) also feeds the indoor pool. The spa offers healing programmes as well as recuperative, health-restoring and weekend programmes. A large park with many precious wood species, rhododendrons and azalea is perfect for beatiful walks.

This unique technical historical sight is truly special. Continuous paper production has taken place here for four centuries by a traditional manufacturing history you can view some of the work/rooms and see for yourself how paper is made. Make sure to choose a souvenir or a valuable gift in the giftshop. A new restaurant in the paper mill area will supply you with good food and drinks.

Úsov is one of the oldest, best well-preserved castles in Northern Moravia. It suffered considerable damage during the Swedish invasion. During its reconstruction part of the castle was rebuilt into a chateau. The castle houses a unique museum of hunting and forestry, founded in 1898, famed throughout Central Europe. You may view here some ten thousand items, including the skins of both exotic and local animals, minerals, antlers, as well as models of forest buildings, hunting arms and peculiar poaching arms.
