The former Gothic castle is today represented only by the remains of the fortifications and the cylindrical tower which once formed its crucial defensive elements. The castle was gradually redesigned, expanded and converted. The interior boasts rich decorations from the 14 th to 19 th centuries, encompassing works by Dutch, Italian, German, and Czech artists. Another valuable feature is its collection of authentic Renaissance and Baroque ceramic stoves. Throughout the season, the castle is a place for various interesting events. The permanent exhibitions will be supplement in the 2007 sesason with an exhibition on historic clocks.
