To follow in the footsteps of the renowned painter Josef Mánes, enter the chateau complex. It was here that he took inspiration in the 19th century, and created his most famous works. In the Mánes Hall in the picturesque Mannerist chateau one can view an exhibiton of his paintings.
During a stroll through the chateau park with rare woods from all over the world, you will discover an artificial cave and a number of small constructions, such as an observation tower or Empire gazebo, which Mánes used as an atelier. You can gain new power from the two fishponds and from the chateau complex itself you can follow an instructional nature trail to the top of Velký Kosíř peak (443 m alt.). In Čechy pod Kosířem you can also visit one of the largest firefighting museum in Moravia.
